Board Of Directors
- Reba Cornman, Chair, received her Master of Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology. Most of her professional career was devoted to interprofessional education in the field of aging as Director of the Geriatrics and Gerontology Education and Research Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The programs provided health professional students, professionals in the field of aging and family caregivers with educational opportunities about collaborative approaches to services and care. Reba retired in 2019. In addition to St. Mary's Outreach Center, she is on the board of two other nonprofits devoted to older adult programming.
- Emily Galik, Secretary, has been a member of the St. Mary’s Outreach Center board since 2023. Emily is an attorney-advisor at the Board of Veterans Appeals in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In the past she was a Catalyst Fellow at Disability Rights Maryland, a summer law clerk with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and an intern of Chief Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown of the Eastern District of Louisiana. She received her B.A. in history and political science summa cum laude from Tulane University and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of SMOC, she plays in the Baltimore Field Hockey Association's adult field hockey league and referees youth field hockey games.
- Terri Sullivan, Treasurer, Joining the St. Mary's Outreach Center board of directors in January 2024, She has more than 20+ years of Treasury experience. She currently works for MetLife in the finance/ treasury department. She has strong ties to the community, as three generations of her family have lived in Hoes Heights. Having handled her parent's healthcare, She is acutely aware of the need to advocate for our senior community.
- Tasha Cornish, member is driven by a passion for harnessing technology to advance community well-being. She has devoted her career to building bridges between innovation and social impact. As executive director of the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland (CAMI), she leads initiatives to strengthen our digital defenses and the regional cybersecurity industry. Previously, Tasha served as the executive director of St. Mary's Outreach Center. She is also a member of the Maryland Cybersecurity Council, the IT Advisory Board for the Maryland Comptroller, and Life Bridge Health's Leadership Society. Tasha earned a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and resides in Hampden.
- Jaime Ransohoff, member joined the St. Mary's Outreach Center board in 2024. Jaime works for the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) as a data analyst looking at health insurance claims records to inform government policy and increase transparency surrounding topics such as drug pricing and hospital finances. She has a passion for exploring large data sets and discovering the important insights hidden within. Jaime received her B.A. in Cellular Neuroscience and English Literature from Colgate University in 2018 and became interested in public health and human services while working at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She went on to receive a masters degree in a public health field from Johns Hopkins University in 2022. Jaime enjoys writing and art.
- Francena Bean-Waters member, is a retired Baltimore City Public Schools educator and former housing manager for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC). She is on the board of the Fieffe Foundation for Haiti (FF4H) and is the founder of the Greater Baltimore Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (GBS-NCNW) Spirit of A Woman: “Body, Mind, and Spirit!” Francena has served the GBS-NCNW as its president, treasurer, corresponding secretary and publisher/editor of their newsletter and handbook. She is also known as Queen Mother, initiated as “Queen” at the AAWOT Rites of Passage. Francena is a resident of St. Mary’s Roland View Towers representing their voice on the SMOC board. She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and holds a master’s from Morgan State University
- Naima Holland, MSN, RN. Board Member, RN Program Manager | MedStar Health, Baltimore Region With over 11 years of experience in community health outreach and education within Baltimore City, Naima is passionate about increasing access to healthcare and breaking down social barriers that impact underserved populations. As the RN Program Manager for MedStar Health in the Baltimore region, Naima leverages a comprehensive nursing and public health background to address both the clinical and social determinants of health that affect the community. A seasoned healthcare professional with 8 years of acute inpatient rehab nursing experience, Naima excels in program planning and community engagement. Dedicated to fostering meaningful, hands-on relationships, Naima actively collaborates with Baltimore residents to identify health needs, create actionable solutions, and ensure holistic care that prioritizes overall well-being. This commitment has earned Naima recognition as a top nurse in Baltimore in 2020 and 2023 and an Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year award in 2019 from MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. Naima holds a bachelor's in nursing from Morgan State University (2016) and a Master's in Community Public Health Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing (2022). As an advocate and public servant, Naima strives to bring diverse perspectives to the table, ensuring that all voices are heard and equitable decisions are made for the communities served. Above all, Naima is deeply committed to community health work, consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Baltimore residents' needs and goals are met. With a passion for advocacy and collaboration, Naima is eager to contribute to the ongoing mission of the St. Mary's Outreach Center and help MedStar Health play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of residents and community members.
- Kelley Ray,member has served on St. Mary’s Outreach Center board since 2020. She is manager for Medicaid communications for Sentara Health Plans in Virginia working remotely from Baltimore. Her role as program director at Civic Works Baltimore Energy Challenge exposed her to what older adults need to have a safe space to live. Kelley volunteers at St. Matthew Catholic church and coordinates the Diane Geppi-Aikens scholarship for a graduating senior at Parkville High School. She holds a bachelor’s from Towson University and a master’s from University of Baltimore.
- Sandra Simmons member, retired as executive director of St. Mary's Outreach Center where she worked for 14 years. She worked with helping older adults stay in their community through Information and one-on-one assistance and referral services. As a Certified Information and Referral Specialist in Aging, she helped low-income seniors get assistance with all programs they were entitled to by working with other non-profits and government agencies.
- Richard Castro, Board Member, is a proud member of the Board of Directors and a resident of Hampden. He moved to Baltimore from Queens, NYC, in 2021 and has been actively involved in his community ever since. Ricky served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and then worked as a truck driver for UPS for ten years. After that, he went to college to become a physical therapist assistant. Ricky has worked for seven years in a rehabilitation and nursing facility in Corona, Queens, NY, where he treated patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and strokes (CVAs). Helping these patients regain their ability to walk has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life. As a Baltimore resident and member of St. Mary’s Outreach Center, Ricky initially volunteered to offer Fall Prevention Classes. He finds himself surrounded by wonderful people who generously give their time to serve the community and help alleviate some of the burdens many of their neighbors face while searching for resources to support their lives.
On April 27, 2025, Ricky became a certified yoga instructor after completing an intensive eight-month training course. He hopes this certification will benefit the community, as he plans to offer free yoga classes. Through the leadership of Wilistne Dargan and outreach worker Pamela Bishop, Ricky has been fortunate to remain active and contribute his skills to this fantastic organization, of which he is very proud to be a member.
- Wanda Wilson,member, served as a director of social work with local nursing homes and human resources administrator for a local teleservice company. She has been an adjunct faculty member with Community College of Baltimore County and Towson University since 1999 while working full-time. Wanda holds a B.A. in sociology from Slipper Rock University, and an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the Miriam Chapter, Order of Eastern Stars Prince Hall Affiliation and the National Association of Social Workers National.
